Hays is proud to partner with a rapidly growing real estate investment and management firm specializing in the acquisition, renovation, and long-term management of residential properties. With over 1,000 residential units currently under management and an ambitious growth strategy, the organization is scaling its operations year over year and building a strong, people‑first management team to support its continued expansion.
Your New Role
As Property Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of 400–500 residential units. You will be the main point of contact for tenants, coordinate maintenance and renovations, support leasing efforts, and represent the company professionally in all tenant and regulatory matters. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, confident, solution-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once.
Key Responsibilities Include;
Property Operations • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across assigned residential buildings • Conduct regular property inspections and proactively address issues • Oversee move-ins, move-outs, unit turnovers, and condition reports
Tenant Relations • Serve as primary point of contact for tenants regarding inquiries, issues, and renewals • Handle tenant concerns professionally and efficiently while enforcing lease terms • Represent the company at the Tribunal administratif du logement (TAL) when required
Maintenance & Repairs • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and service providers • Prioritize and track maintenance requests and renovation work • Ensure quality, cost control, and timely completion of all work
Leasing & Vacancy Support • Support the leasing team during vacancy periods • Coordinate unit readiness and availability • Assist with tenant onboarding and lease renewals
Reporting & Collaboration • Communicate regularly with ownership and internal teams • Maintain accurate records and documentation • Contribute to improving systems, processes, and operational efficiency as the company scales
What You Will Bring
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of three years of property management experience, with a proven ability to oversee large residential portfolios and represent ownership at the Tribunal administratif du logement (TAL). They demonstrate strong tenant relations and conflict-resolution skills, are effective in coordinating subcontractors and vendors, and communicate clearly and professionally. Bilingual in French and English, they are highly organized, proactive problem-solvers who take ownership of their work and thrive in a fast-growing, evolving environment, with a strong desire to grow alongside the company and take on increasing responsibility.
