Description
Professional Staffing has partnered with a well-established Construction Company to hire an HR Generalist for their team with a highly seasonal workforce. This role focuses on full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, and employee relations. During the off – peak season there are diverse projects for this person to oversee such as streamlining and improve HR processes across the organization. This position is 100% on site in Edmonton.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-cycle recruitment for seasonal construction and support roles
- Create and manage an applicant tracking and hiring process
- Review and update job descriptions; manage careers page and LinkedIn postings
- Coordinate onboarding, training documentation, and seasonal offboarding
- Maintain employee records, certifications, and support payroll accuracy
- Update and create HR policies (performance reviews, vacation tracking, development programs)
- Support managers with employee relations, compliance, and performance matters
- Assist with workforce planning, recalls, and seasonal rehiring
Qualifications
- 3+ years HR experience, ideally in construction
- Strong recruitment and organizational skills
- Familiarity with employment standards and construction compliance (OSHA an asset)
