English Teaching Assistant in Taiwan
About the Opportunity
Looking for a meaningful job abroad that combines travel, culture, and career growth? Teach in Taiwan through Languages Canada’s Working Holiday program and experience life in one of Asia’s most dynamic, welcoming, and beautiful destinations.
Role & Responsibilities
Foreign English Teaching Assistants work under the guidance of Taiwanese teachers to create a positive, diverse, and immersive English-learning environment that encourages students to actively use English and develop overall language proficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
· Working 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
· Assisting Taiwanese teachers in class for up to 20 periods per week
· Supporting school activities, presentations, exhibitions, performances, and projects, and helping create an immersive English-learning environment through diverse teaching approaches
Program Requirements
· Valid Canadian passport
· Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Canadian university
· Clean criminal record
Program Benefits
· Monthly salary: NT$51,500
· Round-trip airfare reimbursement: up to NT$40,000
· Accommodation: provided or reimbursed
· Professional development: reimbursement of up to NT$55,000 for TESOL/TEFL/CELTA courses completed during the contract period
· National Health Insurance: provided
