Position Summary

Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of mining projects from studies and engineering through construction and commissioning. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to defined quality standards. The Project Manager provides leadership to multidisciplinary teams, manages internal and external resources, and acts as the main point of contact with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Frequent international travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

– Define scope, objectives, execution strategies, and success criteria aligned with client and company goals.

– Develop and manage project schedules and milestones; monitor progress against baselines and implement recovery actions when needed.

– Coordinate preparation of CAPEX, sustaining capital, and OPEX estimates; oversee budgets and reporting tools.

– Ensure quality control policies, procedures, and standards are applied across project activities.

Team Leadership & Coordination

– Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

– Allocate and manage internal/external resources effectively, promoting collaboration and accountability.

– Facilitate effective communications and decision-making among stakeholders.

Contract, Procurement & Risk Management

– Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts; manage revisions and change orders.

– Oversee procurement of major equipment, materials, and long-lead items.

– Identify schedule, cost, and quality risks; implement mitigation strategies.

– Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Management

– Act as primary liaison with clients and partners across the project lifecycle.

– Prepare, present, and negotiate proposals with potential clients.

– Provide periodic and ad hoc project reports, correspondence, and executive presentations.

Education & Experience

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

– Minimum 15 years of progressive project management experience in mining, construction, or large-scale infrastructure projects.

– International project delivery experience is an asset.

– Bilingual in French and English; Spanish or Portuguese considered an asset.

Additional information

  • The position will be based at the G Mining Services office in Brossard, in the Quartier Solar area.
  • In order to facilitate communication and exchanges, we favor face-to-face meetings.
  • On-site parking is free of charge.
  • The office is within walking distance of the REM station “Du Quartier” (Dix30).
