About the Opportunity:

Skyline Recruitment is currently working on behalf of a well-established environmental consulting firm in Barrie, Ontario. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Engineer to join their technical team.

This role focuses primarily on private servicing, drinking water and sewage system design, and regulatory approvals across land development and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design of private sewage systems and drinking water systems
  • Preparation of Engineer’s Evaluation Reports
  • Hydraulic calculations and technical design documentation
  • Preparation and submission of MECP approval applications
  • Liaising with MECP, municipalities, and Conservation Authorities
  • Supporting servicing reports for development projects
  • Technical project delivery and reporting

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario or EIT working toward licensure
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in sewage and/or drinking water system design
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Ontario Water Resources Act (OWRA)
  • MECP design guidelines (D-5-4, D-5-5)
  • Ontario Building Code (Part 8)
  • Experience preparing engineering septic designs, calculations, and drawings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional Information

  • Salary range: $70K–$120K (commensurate with experience)
  • Barrie-based position with moderate flexibility depending on experience
  • Primarily technical/project delivery focused
