Reporting to the Vice President, Pharmacy, this net-new role provides leadership and national strategic direction for our Rexall Direct Stores and Pharmacy Care Clinics. The Director will lead a team, and drive pharmacy programs and initiatives focused on expanding and optimizing our patient care offerings both virtually and in-store.
What you’ll be doing:
Operational Leadership – Rexall Direct
- Evaluate new opportunities to drive prescription growth at Rexall Direct sites and determine how this asset can be more effectively leveraged to support the broader Rexall network.
- Direct daily operations across three Rexall Direct locations; provide clear guidance and performance oversight to on‑site leadership teams.
- Ensure operational compliance with all applicable provincial and federal legislation, as well as the standards and best‑practice guidelines set by the relevant pharmacy regulatory colleges.
Strategic Program Development & Governance
- Strategically refine, optimize, and advance the roadmap for pharmacy service programs across care clinics and virtually—enhancing the performance, scalability, and growth potential of existing offerings
- Leverage advanced data analytics and performance insights to identify systemic challenges and uncover high‑value opportunities for process, system, and procedural enhancements across Rexall Direct and clinic‑based pharmacy services
- Translate insights into actionable playbooks, pilots and measurable improvement plans
- Support in building and maintaining performance dashboards
Digital Transformation & Enablement
- Lead the innovation, evaluation, and enhancement of pharmacy enablement tools—including digital platforms, workflow automation, clinical decision support, and analytics tools—to advance care across clinic stores and Rexall Direct.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop strategic initiatives that increase patient engagement and program uptake.
Financial Management
- Assist with the management of budgets and forecasts for pharmacy programs; track variances and drive productivity and ROI.
- Support business cases, scenario modeling and forecast planning
People Leadership & Culture
- Strategically support PCC Manager and Clinical Team Lead in cultivating high‑performing teams that accelerate the execution of key programs and enable the successful rollout of new initiatives across the organization.
- Coach and develop high‑performing; build succession pipelines and structured talent development plans.
- Foster a culture of safety, inclusivity, accountability, and continuous improvement; recognize team wins
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Proven track record in strategic planning, operational excellence, financial stewardship, and driving significant business growth.
- Demonstrated leadership with ability to influence and build consensus across senior stakeholders, supported by a record of driving cross functional initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to convey complex strategic information clearly to senior audiences
- Ability to achieve results with a strong sense of urgency and a “can-do” attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic retail pharmacy environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD preferred
