<p><b>Mid-Level Developer – Retail Platform</b></p><p><br></p><p>Hifyre has created the cannabis industry’s most advanced retail sales platform, leveraging data to deliver personalized, effective, consumer & partner engagements. We have developed the industry leading online and in-shop digital toolset for North American cannabis dispensaries and are constantly pushing boundaries, innovating, and delivering custom and scalable solutions.</p><p><br></p><p>Were engaged in interesting builds for recognized brands, rapidly expanding e-commerce and lots in between. You’ll work closely with other like-minded, skilled individuals to create dynamic & cutting-edge products, supporting our larger retail parent, FIKA Company.</p><p><br></p><p>Were seeking an enthusiastic mid-level developer whos eager to build and enhance our retail platform solutions. Youll have the opportunity to work across both frontend and backend, contributing to numerous systems. While we provide mentorship, we value developers who can quickly work independently, raise issues, take corrective action, and maintain high quality standards through testing their own work.</p><p><br></p><p>You will work closely with our QA team, development team, product & project managers, helping to build features with a customer-first focus. Youll develop a sense of ownership for both the code you write and the user experience it creates.</p><p><br></p><p><b>What youll do:</b></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain features for our retail platform</li><li>Navigate and contribute to a large, established codebase across a complex retail domain</li><li>Work with Elixir, Phoenix Framework, and Phoenix LiveView for backend and real-time features</li><li>Write and maintain tests for your code and participate in testing peer contributions</li><li>Collaborate with QA and development teams while also independently tackling assignments</li><li>Participate in code reviews</li><li>Estimate, prioritize, and plan development tasks</li><li>Perform integration testing, smoke testing on staging, and run through quality checklists prior to production deployment</li><li>Document technical decisions and contribute to team knowledge sharing</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What youll bring:</b></p><ul><li>Solid experience with web development patterns (HTTP, REST APIs, relational databases)</li><li>Proficiency in at least one backend language with the ability to pick up new languages and frameworks quickly</li><li>Experience with version control (Git/GitHub), issue tracking (Jira), and documentation tools (Confluence)</li><li>A commitment to code quality through testing and thorough review</li><li>Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail</li><li>Autonomous nature — trying new things, iterating, and learning at a fast pace</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment</li><li>A sense of ownership and pride in your code and its impact on user experience</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Bonus:</b></p><ul><li>Experience with Elixir, Phoenix Framework, or Phoenix LiveView</li><li>Experience with functional programming languages</li><li>Experience with e-commerce or retail technology</li><li>Knowledge of testing frameworks and QA methodologies</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What we offer:</b></p><ul><li>An equally balanced team of solid, hard-working humans – diverse in talents and actively growing.</li><li>Technology Agnostic – if you believe in it, build it.</li><li>Competitive bonus elements</li><li>Comprehensive benefits – your health is important to us.
