Superintendent – Civil Construction
Vancouver, British Columbia
$110,000 – $140,000 + Full Benefits + RRSP
Skyline Recruitment is currently partnering with a well-established civil contractor in British Columbia to hire a Superintendent.
Our client is a respected, multi-division construction group delivering complex underground utility and infrastructure projects across BC. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong field leader who thrives in fast-paced civil environments and wants long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead site operations to meet project schedules and critical path milestones
- Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture on site
- Coordinate and supervise crews, trades, and subcontractors
- Manage underground civil utility installations (water, sewer, storm, district energy)
- Oversee earthworks, road building, and municipal infrastructure scopes
- Monitor job costing and assist with forecasting
- Identify and manage scope changes and contract impacts
- Develop and enforce project-specific safety plans
- Mentor foremen and collaborate with field engineers
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure seamless project execution
- Participate in pre-tender site reviews and planning
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of leadership experience in civil construction
- Strong background in underground utilities and municipal infrastructure
- Experience working in varied soil conditions (peat, sand, glacial till, etc.)
- Proven ability to manage complex, technically challenging projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools
- Technical diploma or engineering degree (asset)
Compensation & Benefits:
- $110,000 – $140,000 base salary (based on experience)
