RONA is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing Manager who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the pricing strategy across the business. The role requires analyzing market conditions, competitive data, and consumer insights to set a profitable and competitive pricing strategy. Constant collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is essential to drive long-term growth.

Your Role :

1. Price Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies across categories, adapting to business goals.

  • Use business intelligence and competitive analysis for regular market assessments.

  • Continuously optimize pricing for profitability, factoring in costs, elasticity, and competitive positioning.

  • Apply advanced analysis techniques to determine optimal price points that align with business objectives.

2. Pricing Models, Tools & Data-Driven Decision-Making

  • Design and manage dynamic pricing models and tools for flexible decision-making.

  • Lead the team in creating tools for accurate pricing decisions and optimizing skills.

  • Use data from models to inform pricing decisions and drive profitability.

  • Continuously improve tools to adapt to a changing environment.

  • Monitor pricing performance and provide insights and improvement opportunities to stakeholders.

  • Define KPIs and monitor them with the team.

3. Pricing Governance & Data Management

  • Ensure that pricing strategies comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to gather competitive intelligence for data-driven decision-making.

  • Lead efforts to ensure the quality and efficiency of pricing data through regular monitoring.

4. Leadership

  • Lead a team of 4-8 members (Senior Pricing Analyst, Pricing Analysts, Data Analyst) and support them in making informed pricing decisions.

  • Provide guidance and training on pricing policies, processes, and tools to ensure consistency across the business.

  • Collaborate with senior management (Directors and VPs) to represent Pricing and drive initiatives.

  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders on pricing projects.

5. Project Management

  • Develop pricing project plans, including scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure efficient use of resources, adjusting stay within timelines.

  • Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for projects, providing updates and managing expectations.

Performance Metrics

  • Improvement or maintenance of competitiveness to support the price image

  • Maintenance and optimization of price structures (consistency across products)

  • Growth in retail sales, both in value and volume

  • Improvement or maintenance of retail gross margin

  • Improvement or maintenance of positive customer perception of prices (measured through surveys)

  • Gain or maintenance of market share

  • Performance and development of the Pricing team

  • Stakeholder satisfaction (internal teams, partners, and stores)

The Qualifications we’re looking for :

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business intelligence, statistics, finance, accounting, marketing, or related field (master’s is a plus).

  • At least 5 years’ experience working in a similar pricing role in a large corporation.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in French and English.

  • Experience in retail is considered an asset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint and Teams

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts

  • Data analysis skills to interpret pricing models and work with large datasets, with knowledge in tools such as Access, Alteryx, Power BI, and BigQuery, as well as programming languages like VBA, SQL, and Python

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure

  • Advanced business acumen and leadership skills

  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in pricing decisions
