Description
Harbinger Network has partnered with an industry leading, privately owned organization that designs and installs bulk dry ingredient handling systems to find a Senior Project Manager/Design Process Engineer. With a core team of nine employees and a trusted network of subcontractors, they design and deliver approximately 10–15 large-scale systems per year across Canada and the United States, with occasional international projects.
They specialize in a niche market, designing pneumatic conveying systems for dry food ingredients, with a focus on flour and sugar, designing complete systems that automate the handling of bulk materials from truck unloading through silos, hoppers, scales, and downstream processing — reducing manual handling, improving safety, and lowering ingredient costs for customers, and is known for high quality of workmanship.
This is an on-site position, that requires hands-on collaboration, deep familiarity with their systems, vendors, and installation teams, and being present through the full lifecycle of the projects.

- Lead projects from concept through installation, ensuring customer requirements are met on time and on budget
- Design bulk dry ingredient handling systems for the food industry, with a strong emphasis on pneumatic conveying

- Collaborate with our in-house application engineer to develop fabrication-ready designs and standard work (SolidWorks and AutoCAD)
- Plan logistics and sequencing to support efficient installation by mechanical and electrical subcontractors
- Attend the later stages of installations to gain hands-on familiarity with system setup and commissioning
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Travel occasionally to customer sites across North America (generally less than 10%, and primarily in Canada)

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with customers and internal teams
- Valid passport and ability to travel occasionally
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
Assets

Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary approximately $120 – 150K per year, with flexibility upward for candidates with strong leadership and niche experience
- Annual company performance bonus
- RRSP program with up to 4% company matching
- Employer-paid benefits
- Travel expenses fully covered, including per diem and mileage reimbursement

Why Join?
This is not a plug-and-play role. It is an opportunity to become one of the most important contributors to a specialized, well-respected company. The knowledge in this field is rare, and we are committed to investing in the right person to help carry it forward.
If you are looking for a hands-on, technically challenging role with real influence over projects, people, and the future direction of a company, we would like to hear from you.
