HR Project Partners is currently accepting resumes for a Human Resources Advisor on behalf of one of our clients. The ideal candidate would have 3–5 years of experience in HR generalist or advisor roles and previous experience in mining, resource, or industrial industries is an asset.
Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the HR Advisor will provide full HR generalist services to the staff at the Queensway office and site. This position is an integral part of the HR team and is site based.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead and manage the full employee lifecycle — recruitment and staffing, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding.
- Maintain and update organizational charts, HR records, policies and procedures.
- Administer compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee wellness programs.
- Provide advice, support and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, labour legislation, and best practices.
- Capture company processes and procedures and policy development.
- Assist with employee relations, conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary processes as required.
- Support training, development, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to workforce planning and support workforce strategies aligned with company growth and operational goals.
- Help promote a safe, inclusive, respectful, and equitable workplace culture.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in HR generalist or advisor roles. Previous experience in mining, resource, or industrial industries is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
- Strong knowledge of Canadian (and NL) employment and labour law, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to build strong relationships across all levels.
