We are committed to providing comprehensive training to support your success in the role.</p><p><b>Position:</b> <b>Application Specialist </b></p><li><b>Location: </b>Ville de Québec, Québec</li><li><b>Schedule: </b>8:30am- 5:00pm / 37.5 hours per week </li><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Technical/Design Expertise</b></p><li>Meet the customers and define their needs.</li><li>Design hydraulics power units and pneumatic systems.</li><li>Select systems components and prepare the requisition.</li><li>Generate detailed hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and comprehensive technical documentation in English and in French.</li><li>Conduct calculations to determine the required capacity of the systems.</li><li>Prepare detailed quotes, project cost estimates, and technically proposals in French and in English for customers.</li><li>Collaborate closely with the team’s member to refine and implement innovative design concepts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.</li><li>Do project planning and monitoring.</li><li>Help the production and installation, when needed. </li><p><b>Collaboration</b></p><li>Act as the ultimate technical authority during proposal and quote development, collaborating closely with Sales Managers and representatives to secure and deliver projects.</li><li>Foster strong cross-functional collaboration by actively engaging with manufacturing, procurement, and services teams to facilitate smooth project execution and delivery.</li><li>Maintain the highest level of quality by establishing and enforcing rigorous procedures and checklists to uphold engineering standards and meet customer expectations.</li><li>Identifying problems and solutions to fix the issue.</li><li>Reports delays in relation to deadlines within a reasonable time frame.</li><p><b>To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements</b>:</p><li>3 to 4 years experience in hydraulic and pneumatic domain.</li><li>Have a BSE or BEng degree in engineering in an appropriate field or a technique in a propriate field or have 5 years of experience in the hydraulic and/or pneumatic field.</li><li>Consent to a criminal background check and a drivers license summary by Wainbee</li><li>Travel to the clients site when necessary.</li><li>Able to communication, write and read in French and in English.</li><li>Experience with AutoCAD</li><li>Experience with a 3D design software (SolidWorks an asset)</li><li>Knowledge and adaptability with computers.</li><li>Possess an intermediate level in Excel.</li><li>Experience with project management (asset)</li><li>Knowledge of PLC programming and electrical design systems.
