Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Toronto, Ontario on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance while supporting various accounting functions. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where attention to detail and expertise are essential.Responsibilities:- Prepare and post month-end journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.- Assist in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.- Develop lead schedules, including fixed asset continuity and accrued expense schedules.- Maintain tax continuity schedules and support various tax reconciliations, including income tax, retail sales tax, harmonized sales tax, and insurance premium tax.- Facilitate management reporting and contribute to regulatory filing processes.- Perform variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial results.- Support the year-end external audit by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.- Minimum of three years’ experience in full-cycle accounting.- Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is preferred.- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and practices is considered an asset.- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail with a commitment to confidentiality.- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
