Job Title: Jr Python Developer with DevOps and Linux

Location: Toronto, ON (4 days a week on site)

Job Type: Long-term contract / Contract to Hire

Job Description:

  • Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in Python
  • Proficiency in classes, inheritance, and encapsulation is essential for scalable code
  • Familiarity with Python-specific tools like list comprehensions, generators, and decorators
  • Ability to write unit tests, Basic SQL for querying, and familiarity with Object
  • Relational Mappers ORMs like SQL Alchemy or Django ORM, Skilled in DevOps leveraging GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in DevOps and SRE practices, leveraging Jenkins, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines to improve system reliability and deployment efficiency
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems
  • Proficiency in Linux and Unix commands. Experience with troubleshooting application and database issues by leveraging tools such as Dynatrace Aternity OEM in an AIX Linux environment
  • Good to know PL/SQL programming
