THE ROLE

True North Strong South of the Border:

Join our Team and Empower Canadian Armed Forces Families in the United States!
This position must be filled by an adult CAF family member who is posted to and resides in the United States of America.

The Community Service Provider will assist in the planning, organizing and delivery of community-based programs and services such as personal development, deployment, child and youth development, parenting support, community integration, and outreach initiatives. The Provider plays an important role in supporting families with navigational resources at both a local and national level.
This position will establish and maintain relationships with CAF family members, the local Chain of Command, stakeholders, and cross-function departments to access community needs, community resources and to develop services/programs.

The role also encompasses administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, creating presentations and developing reports, mass mailing distribution, and promoting activities and services to increase awareness and engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

High school diploma AND Several years of experience in Office Administration

Experience

In general office procedures and practices
In group facilitation
In information and referral practices
In communicating to groups and individuals
In applying policies, procedures and regulations
In program event and activity planning
In social media

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential, Bilingual (English and French) an asset

OTHER INFORMATION

The successful candidate must reside in any part of the United States, or be in the process of relocating to this country. Please note that this position does not offer relocation assistance.

Must be an adult family member accompanying the Canadian military, or an adult dependant of a serving Canadian military member, or an adult dependant of a member of the Canadian Civilian Component.

This position may allow flexible work options such as remote or hybrid work but the employee must be able to report to the assigned work location at their own cost when required.

The successful candidate will need to possess a bank account at a Canadian financial institution as pays are deposited to a Canadian financial institution in Canadian funds.

This is a temporary full-time position; 30 hours per week, with an anticipated start date of June 29, 2026, and end date of August 31, 2028.

Evening and weekend work as required.

Possibility of contract extension.

The selection process may be done virtually.

As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a Reliability status security screening.
