Human Resources Student (Summer)
JOB LOCATION: London, Ontario
REPORTING TO: Human Resources Manager
POSTING TYPE: Full-time, Contract (May – August 2026)
PAY RANGE: $20 – $23/hour
About the Role
We’re looking for an HR Student to support a variety of Human Resources and Health & Safety initiatives across our brewery. This role will provide hands-on experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, administration, and workplace safety.
You’ll work closely with different teams across the business while helping support day-to-day operations and ongoing projects that improve the employee experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, proactive, eager to learn, and who is comfortable taking ownership of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Equals Brewing Company was founded in 2018 and has quickly grown into a trusted producer of beers, ciders, ready-to-drink, and non-alcoholic products for some of Ontario’s and Canada’s leading beverage brands.
In 2020, we launched Bangarang Hard Seltzer and in 2021, we introduced Shake Lager, a Canadian Brewing Awards gold medal winner. More recently, we added Side Launch Brewing Company to our portfolio, an established Ontario craft brewery known for its award-winning beers and strong community presence.

What You’ll Do
As the Human Resources Student, you will support day-to-day HR operations while contributing to projects and initiatives across the business. The key responsibilities and areas of focus include:
Recruitment & Onboarding
● Assist with job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and follow-up communications
● Support onboarding activities including preparing new hire packages, employee announcements, and general onboarding coordination
● Help maintain employee records, training documentation, and HR filing systems Employee
Engagement & Communications
● Support company events, engagement initiatives, and the employee recognition program
● Create internal posters and communications to help keep employees and teams informed and engaged
● Assist with engagement surveys and other culture-focused initiatives
Projects & Process Improvement
● Support HR projects including onboarding improvements, policy updates, and employer branding initiatives
● Research best practices and identify opportunities to improve existing processes
● Take initiative on projects and contribute ideas that help improve the department and employee experience
Health & Safety and Cross-Functional Support
● Assist with Health & Safety tasks including incident tracking, training coordination, emergency preparedness, and compliance-related activities
● Provide general administrative support for HR tasks and day-to-day operations
● Support Finance and IT-related projects and tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
● Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
● Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
● Strong organizational and time management skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
● Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
● Comfortable learning new systems and technology
● Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
● Previous HR, administrative, or customer service experience is considered an asset
