Job Title: Sr QA Automation Lead Engineer (Cloud)
Duration: 6 Months to FTE
Location: Toronto-155 Wellington St West, Toronto, ON M5V 3L3, Canada
Halifax- 120 Western PKY, Bedford, Nova Scotia, B4B 2V0, Canada
Hybrid Role: 4 days onsite in either the (Halifax, Montreal, or Toronto)

Job Description:
• Implement and champion best practices in Quality engineering
• Creating and maintaining end to end test automation frameworks on-prem and in cloud using Python.
• Suggest and implement improvements to the test automation processes and tools.
• Train and mentor junior members of the team to help solidify their automation and testing expertise.
• Manual testing is to be expected, but emphasis will be placed on devising and implementing test automation.
• Develop standardized procedures – test strategies and plans, regression, integration, end to end testing, automated test cases.
• Working with Data Bricks, Snowflake and Azure, testing data hops through the different stages of transformation, working with Unity catalogs, and workflows.
• Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate, and escalate where appropriate.
• Collaborate and contribute on cross-functional enterprise initiatives and manage the effective implementation of assigned deliverables.
Must have:
• Undergraduate degree in Technology
• Very good Python-coding skills with focus on Spark/PySpark, API & AI Testing
• Strong QA or Development background with focus on delivering excellent, well-tested, quality software into production, taking on the role of gatekeeper to production.
• Must have implemented and be very familiar with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communicator with good organizational and time management capabilities, able to establish good working relationships across teams.
• Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice-to-have:
• Post Graduate degree in Data Science.
• Experience working with Models
• Experience developing or testing AI Frameworks.
• Cloud-related experience.
