Our client in the utilities and electrical manufacturing industry is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team on a 15-month contract. This role follows a hybrid working arrangement requiring three days onsite and two working remotely each week at their Mississauga office

Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst will be to:

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis, bridge analyses, and executive-level financial commentary for senior leadership.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across revenue, gross margin, and SG&A expenses.
  • Analyze customer-level revenue, pricing, profitability, and overall business performance to support strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver insights into financial results versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key business drivers and risks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility, reporting accuracy, and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in developing dashboards, KPIs, and management reports to support operational and financial performance monitoring.
  • CPA or in the program
  • 3+ years of FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance experience
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience using planning tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or similar
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear business insights
  • SAP, Power BI, Power Query, SQL, manufacturing/distribution experience, or ERP implementation exposure.
