Position Overview

We are seeking a talented API Developer for our client to support the development of API versions across a suite of products. This role plays a key part in ensuring partners have access to products through well-designed, scalable, and documented APIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop API versions for products using Low Code Platforms as the primary platform for API development
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable API solutions
  • Apply best practices in API design to ensure scalability, security, and performance
  • Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation using Swagger and/or OpenAPI standards
  • Maintain and enhance existing APIs to support evolving business needs
  • Participate in API testing and validation, including building automated tests
  • Provide technical guidance on API usage and integration

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in API development (experience with low-code/no-code platforms is an asset)
  • Experience building APIs within AWS environments
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Experience using developer documentation tools to maintain clear and accessible API documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to support API ecosystem management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing APIs in banking or insurance environments
  • Familiarity with API management best practices, including versioning, security, and monitoring
