HR Project Partners is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Business Development on behalf of our client, Morris Group — a division of the global Aramark family. We are looking for a strategic, relationship‑driven sales leader to accelerate growth across Ontario and Quebec. This senior role is ideal for a proven professional with experience developing high‑impact sales strategies, leading teams, and building strong partnerships across the construction, engineering, modular rental, mining, and energy sectors.

The Director of Business Development will spearhead growth initiatives, expand market presence, and represent the organization at key industry events. This role is well‑suited to a results‑oriented leader with a demonstrated ability to cultivate meaningful partnerships and navigate diverse cultural and regional environments.

Essential Job Functions:

Strategic Growth & Acquisition

  • Market analysis and opportunity evaluation across mining, oil & gas, energy, construction, engineering, and modular rental sectors.
  • Develop and execute sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Build compelling value propositions and lead major pursuits.

Sales Leadership & Pipeline Management

  • Lead and mentor the business development function; oversee pipeline health and forecasting.
  • Drive disciplined sales processes; Miller Heiman experience preferred (not mandatory).
  • Track performance against targets and commission‑based outcomes.

Partnership Development & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with Indigenous communities, regional leaders, and industry partners.
  • Engage respectfully with First Nations stakeholders, ensuring cultural protocols and community priorities are honored.

Representation & Networking

  • Represent Morris Group at conferences, trade shows, and industry events across Ontario and Quebec.
  • Deliver presentations, participate in panels, and elevate the company’s visibility.

Business Development Strategy & Execution

  • Design and implement business development strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to adapt strategies proactively.
  • Prospect new leads to fill the sales pipeline.

Collaboration & Internal Alignment

  • Work closely with related stakeholders to ensure a winning value proposition.
  • Provide input into marketing and communications strategies to support business development initiatives.

Reporting & Accountability

  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline progress, and market opportunities.
  • Track performance against targets and commission-based outcomes.

Partnership Development & Indigenous Engagement

  • Participate in developing and maintaining indigenous partnerships.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Proven sales leadership experience, ideally within:
  • Large construction companies
  • Engineering firms
  • Modular rental businesses (e.g., companies like Dickie Moore in Montreal)
  • Experience in camp operations or industrial construction is an asset.
  • Strong track record in business development, negotiation, and deal execution.
  • Bilingual (English/French) strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage travel across ON/QC.
  • Engineering or construction background is an advantage.
