Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) – Nuclear / OPG Cleared

Location: Pickering, ON (On-site – 5 days/week)

Employment Type: Contract – 12 months

Compensation: $60–$80/hour INC (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Intermediate Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) to support projects within a highly regulated nuclear environment. The successful candidate will work on-site in Pickering and bring strong technical expertise along with prior experience working within OPG environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical engineering support for ongoing projects and initiatives
  • Review, analyze, and develop mechanical engineering designs, documentation, and technical solutions
  • Support engineering assessments and ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable standards and procedures
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and project teams to support project execution
  • Participate in technical reviews and contribute to constructability and design discussions
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards and site requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) in Ontario
  • Intermediate-level mechanical engineering experience
  • Active OPG clearance (mandatory)
  • Previous experience supporting projects within nuclear or highly regulated environments
  • Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Pickering 5 days per week
