Distribution Services Coordinator (6 Month Contract)

Location: Remote, or if local to an office, hybrid – Kingston, Toronto, or Montreal

The total target compensation (TTC) range, including salary and target bonus, is $47,700 – $65,720. This TTC range is applicable to permanent roles only. The actual base salary offered within this range will be determined by the successful candidate’s skills and experience, as well as internal equity. Fixed-term contract and casual roles are not eligible for annual bonus and would receive only the base salary component.

Empire Life is looking to hire a Distribution Services Coordinator (6 month contract) to join our Retail Distribution team! We are actively seeking candidates to fill a current, open position.

The Distribution Services Coordinator provides support to our distribution partners by ensuring partner contracting and/or compensation records are kept up to date. The incumbent is guided by procedural constraints and works under the supervision of the Supervisor, Distribution Services.

What you’ll be working on

  • Acting as a key point of contact with distribution partners
  • Provide prompt and courteous resolution of enquiries from distribution partners and customers through verbal and/or written communication and may be required to make outbound calls to external clients and distribution partners
  • Apply critical thinking to screen contracts and related documents to meet established service levels, some of which will be in French and ensures compliance, contractual and regulatory standards are met
  • Enter and maintain data into multiple administration systems; review and analyze data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies; ensure database is updated and validated with correct information and produce data reports
  • Investigate and analyze simple to complex cases and escalates if required
  • Provide support to multiple teams to provide business requirements for and test scenarios for projects, product launches and system maintenance releases; validate that the changes made, have made a positive enhancement to the user experience

What we’re looking for you to have

  • Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Work experience in the financial services industry or the insurance industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, internet and database applications
  • Knowledge of distribution channels would be an asset
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks
  • Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail/accuracy
  • Well developed communication skills
  • Well developed customer relations skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Bilingualism would be an asset
