Category Manager – Engineering
Mississauga – Hybrid – 3 Days in Office
$150,000 + bonus + benefits + vacation
This massive Canadian company is seeking multiple category managers to build their procurement strategy. The focus on categories include: engineered parts, electronics, consumables, Professional Services. The role includes building strategic frameworks to develop these high-spend categories, building year-on-year performance analysis to help the company develop better relationships with the best vendors in the future. Leading a small team, you and your team will build the foundations for future procurement strategies.
As a preferred candidate you will have experience of developing category strategies, ideally in a project environment like construction, EPCM, Mining, oil and gas, utilities, power generation. You will have experience of building category frameworks like scorecarding, SRM, vendor leveraging.

As the ideal candidate you will have:
- 5+ years’ Procurement experience
- Category development experience
- Project Procurement Industry experience – Construction, Nuclear, EPCM, Engineering, Mining, Oil and Gas etc
- Exceptional communication skills
