We are a leading Canadian educational organization that helps university students gain admission to highly competitive professional programs, including Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Optometry, and other healthcare disciplines.

We are seeking an exceptional individual who can contribute not only as a mentor and coach, but also as a key collaborator in the ongoing development and enhancement of our MCAT preparation program.

About the Role

Unlike traditional tutoring positions, this role combines curriculum development, educational strategy, and student coaching.

We are looking for someone who can think beyond individual tutoring sessions and help us continuously improve the quality, effectiveness, and competitiveness of our MCAT program.

The ideal candidate enjoys analyzing MCAT trends, developing educational content, creating learning resources, and identifying innovative ways to improve student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development (Primary Focus)

  • Help design, improve, and expand our MCAT preparation curriculum.
  • Develop new educational resources, study materials, practice questions, and explanations.
  • Review existing content and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute ideas for new teaching methodologies, learning tools, and student support systems.
  • Stay informed about MCAT updates, trends, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with our leadership team to strengthen and scale the program.

Student Mentoring & Coaching

  • Provide one-on-one MCAT coaching and tutoring sessions.
  • Help students build effective study schedules and preparation strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and provide personalized guidance.
  • Support students in overcoming academic challenges and maximizing their performance.

Qualifications

  • Competitive MCAT score required.
  • Current or former medical student, dental student, healthcare professional student, resident, or healthcare professional preferred.
  • Strong interest in education, curriculum design, and program development.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills.
  • Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
  • Previous tutoring, mentoring, or educational content development experience is considered an asset.
