Technical Proposal Writer (Hybrid)

The Technical Proposal Writer will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating strategic and operational programs and initiatives, such as bid management, compliance, inside sales, and case study management. You will be responsible for ensuring success metrics are achieved across initiatives through tight collaboration with executives, field leaders, and corporate and external stakeholders.

This role requires an optimistic and flexible partnership approach, consistent communication, the adoption of standard practices, and a commitment to learning how each initiative impacts the big-picture goals within Randstad Digital.

This position will perform functions to ensure the timely completion of initiatives and projects, as well as the identification and mitigation of risks and issues. Projects require coordination across cross-functional teams, including industry sales groups, delivery, operations, executive leadership, corporate functions, and external partners.

What You Get to Do:

  • Proposal Management & Compliance: Review and update complex proposals and bids requiring advanced compliance knowledge across multiple industries.
  • Point of Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for proposal-related activities, including coordinating with subject matter experts specializing in total talent and/or workforce solutions for permanent or contingent workers.
  • Pricing & Market Strategy: Influence long-term bidding processes by preparing cost and price analysis for bids, supporting the development of cost-effective pricing strategies that appeal to smaller, national clients. Conduct competitive analysis and gather market intelligence to shape winning strategies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise and coordinate with cross-functional and/or cross-specialization teams and diverse stakeholders to gather information and ensure proposals and bids are compliant, compelling, and competitive in the professional sector.
  • Logistics & Execution: Manage the logistics of proposal submissions, meeting all requirements and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues related to proposals and bids, implementing integrated solutions where possible and escalating significant concerns to management for further action.
  • Negotiation & Structure: Actively participate in negotiation sessions to secure favorable terms and conditions. Facilitate and support bid decisions, ensuring win themes are communicated clearly to create impactful, well-structured, and compelling proposals that resonate with clients.

What You Need to Bring:

  • Language Skills: Absolute proficiency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory. French is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience: 5–7+ years in proposal management, technical writing, or business development, preferably within technology services or consulting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Canadian procurement (RFI, RFP, MSA, SOW) and public sector rigor.
  • Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency with MS Office 365 and Google Workspace.

Note on Attendance & Travel: This is a hybrid attendance role. You are required to attend an office at your manager’s discretion pursuant to Randstad’s hybrid and remote work policies. You may also be required to travel to attend in-person events, including but not limited to training, meetings, and retreats. Some travel may involve interprovincial and international trips.
