Position: Principal System Architect / Solution Architect / Senior LSA (PEGA)

Location: Remote within Canada. (Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to collaborate during North American business hours.)

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Principal-level Pega architect to provide hands-on technical leadership across one or more strategic banking engagements. You will own the overall solution architecture, set technical standards, guide a team of system architects, and serve as the senior technical point of contact for client stakeholders. This role demands proven banking application delivery and current, hands-on experience designing and building Pega Constellation applications. It is a high-visibility position for an architect who combines deep Pega expertise with the judgment to balance affordability, fit, and long-term maintainability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Solution architecture: Define and own end-to-end Pega solution architecture — case design, class structure, data models, integrations, and reusable enterprise assets — aligned with Pega guardrails and best practices.
  • Technical leadership: Set technical direction across workstreams, review designs and code, and ensure delivery quality across the team.
  • Mentorship: Coach and develop Senior System Architects and System Architects, raising the technical bar of the practice.
  • Client engagement: Act as the trusted senior technical advisor to client stakeholders; translate business objectives into scalable, supportable Pega solutions.
  • Performance & scalability: Lead performance tuning, scalability planning, and production-readiness reviews for enterprise-grade deployments.
  • Integration design: Architect robust integrations with enterprise systems, services, and data sources across complex financial-services landscapes.
  • Governance: Drive Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO) sessions, estimation, technical risk management, and adherence to delivery and security standards.
  • Delivery support: Collaborate with project and delivery leadership on planning, staffing, and roadmap for expansion across accounts.

Required qualification:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and building applications on the Pega platform.
  • Banking application experience: demonstrated delivery of Pega solutions for banking use cases — e.g. core banking, lending/credit, payments, account servicing, or onboarding/KYC — in a regulated financial-services environment.
  • PEGA Constellation experience: current, hands-on experience architecting and building applications on the Pega Constellation architecture, including Constellation UI/DX API design and migration considerations from traditional UI.
  • PEGA Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) — or Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) actively pursuing CLSA.
  • Deep expertise with Pega Infinity, case management, data pages, declarative rules, and the situational layer cake
  • Proven experience leading the architecture of large, enterprise-scale Pega implementations.
  • Strong background in enterprise integration patterns (REST/SOAP services, connectors, queue processing, file/data flows).
  • Solid grounding in application performance, scalability, and security on PEGA.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models and running DCO sessions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage senior client stakeholders.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience delivering Pega solutions in banking, insurance, or other regulated financial-services environments.
  • Familiarity with Pega Customer Service, Pega Customer Decision Hub, or Pega Smart Dispute / KYC frameworks.
  • Exposure to cloud deployment (Pega Cloud, AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines for PEGA.
  • Prior consulting or systems-integrator experience with multi-client delivery.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset given the Canadian market.
