Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Manufacturing Recruiter role based in North York, ON. The Manufacturing Recruiter will manage end-to-end recruitment for manufacturing and light industrial roles, including intake meetings with hiring managers, job posting creation, and candidate sourcing through job boards, social media, and networking. Responsibilities include screening resumes, conducting interviews, coordinating skills assessments, and shortlisting candidates aligned with client requirements and workplace safety standards. The role will involve building and maintaining talent pipelines, conducting reference checks, preparing offers, and supporting onboarding coordination. The Manufacturing Recruiter will also maintain accurate applicant tracking records, provide regular updates to clients, and contribute to continuous improvements in recruiting processes.
Qualifications
- Strong full-cycle recruitment skills for manufacturing, warehousing, and light industrial roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Experience partnering with hiring managers and clients to understand staffing needs, define role requirements, and provide consultative recruitment support.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, and social media recruiting tools, as well as solid MS Office or Google Workspace skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to conduct structured interviews and present candidates clearly and objectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of handling multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant employment standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and best practices in fair and inclusive hiring.
- Proven ability to build and maintain talent pipelines and professional networks within manufacturing and related sectors.
- Collaborative mindset, client-focused attitude, and a commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory recruitment practices.
- Previous recruitment experience in an agency or high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and recruitment experience.
