Role Description
We are seeking a Junior Family Law Associate for a full-time role. You will have the availabilty to work remotely . The associate will assist with case management, prepare legal documents, conduct legal research, and represent clients in family court proceedings and mediations. The role involves liaising with clients, managing client communications, and providing legal advice on issues such as divorce, custody, support, and other family law matters.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Family Law, including handling cases related to divorce, custody, and support matters
- Skills in Case Management and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases effectively
- Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with clients, and opposing counsel.
- You are in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Prior experience in family law (1-4 years)
- Fluency in another language (eg. Farsi) is an asset
- Compensation is based on billings with a gauranteed good base, and benefits are available
