About the Company
Our client, a leading international law firm with a strong presence in Canada is seeking a Junior Corporate Law Clerk to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file corporate documents for federal and provincial entities
- Maintain and update corporate records, minute books, and entity databases
- Draft routine corporate documentation, including resolutions, officer/director changes, and annual filings
- Assist with corporate transactions, reorganizations, and due diligence matters
- Conduct corporate and registry searches as required
- Coordinate filings with regulatory bodies such as Corporations Canada and the Ontario Business Registry
- Support lawyers and senior clerks with a variety of corporate matters
- Liaise with internal teams and external service providers when necessary
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a corporate law clerk in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Strong knowledge of corporate procedures, filings, and compliance (Ontario and federal)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with corporate management systems and document software
- Team-oriented with a proactive and professional approach
Compensation
- Salary up to $90,000, commensurate with experience
