About the Company

Our client, a well-established and respected boutique litigation firm is seeking an Estate Litigation Associate to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a broad range of estates and trusts litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, factums, legal opinions, and other court materials
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy for complex estates disputes
  • Attend examinations for discovery, mediations, settlement negotiations, and court appearances (virtually and in-person as required)
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders
  • Independently manage files while meeting all deadlines and professional obligations
  • Contribute to client relationship management and business development initiatives where appropriate

Requirements

  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • 5+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong advocacy, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven ability to manage files independently in a remote work environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Client-focused approach with sound professional judgment
  • Comfortable working autonomously while staying connected to a virtual team

Compensation

  • Salary up to $140,000, commensurate with experience
  • Fully remote work environment with the flexibility to work from anywhere in Canada, provided you are called to the Ontario Bar and maintain good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
