TalentCompass has partnered with an approved maintenance organization, charter airline and flight school with a presence spanning over two decades in the aviation industry. They have emerged as the go-to solution for logistics in Northern and Western Canada.
We are currently seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Lead Hand for their team in Grande Prairie, AB. This position would primarily work a Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM shift, plus overtime and weekend work as needed. At times, there may be an opportunity to work away from the base.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance staff as they perform tasks.
- Mentor apprentices
- Create work packages as needed
- Ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed as requested by the Base Engineer.
- Ensure that all paperwork is completed and submitted to the base Engineer when the project is completed
- Sign out aircraft if qualified to do so.
- Ensure that the workspace is cleaned daily
- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with company documentation and Transport Canada requirements
Qualifications:
- Canadian AME license (M1)
- Experience maintaining piston and turbine aircraft
- Personal transportation to and from work
Bonus skills:
- Moderate to strong computer skills
- Experience working on Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft and King Air aircraft
- 5 or more years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
