Position Overview and Responsibilities

Clear is looking to add a Qualified Aquatic Environmental Specialist (“QAES”) to our team.  The position is primarily office-based, with field-based support at various project locations throughout Western Canada. 

Primary responsibilities are to plan, coordinate, and execute field services, including: Aquatic and Wildlife Assessments, Waterbody and Wetland Assessments, Water Resource Management, Environmental Site Assessments, Environmental Monitoring, etc.

Qualification Requirements

  1. Post-secondary education degree or technical diploma in biological sciences, or other educational equivalencies
  2. Qualified Aquatic Environmental Specialist (“QAES”) designation
  3. Previous experience with Aquatic and Wildlife Assessments
  4. Candidates must have a valid Drivers Licence and safety/competency certifications, including: Standard First Aid, CPR, H2S Alive, and Common Safety Orientation (“CSO”)
  5. Strong organizational capability and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  7. Willing to work away from home, and legally eligible to work in Canada
  8. Contractor(s) will require their own truck, insurances, and Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”)
