Project Manager – Civil Construction

Location: British Columbia (Camp-based opportunities available – 14 days on / 7 days off)

Salary: $110,000–$150,000+ (Negotiable based on experience)

Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established civil contractor specializing in earthworks, concrete, site development, and heavy civil construction projects throughout British Columbia.

This organization self-performs its concrete and earthworks scopes and maintains a strong project pipeline, consistently managing multiple active projects while continuing to secure new work. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage civil construction projects from estimation and planning through to successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.
  • Oversee concrete, earthworks, site development, and heavy civil project activities.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and contractual requirements.
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Participate in estimating, tendering, and project planning activities.
  • Provide regular reporting on project progress, costs, schedules, and forecasts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Support site teams and provide leadership to ensure efficient project execution.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2–5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within civil construction.
  • Proven experience managing earthworks, concrete, site development, or heavy civil projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration and project financial management.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Camp or remote project experience is considered an asset.
  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
