Become the primary advisor for claims management at the City and enhance its financial sustainability. The Claims and Risk Lead is essential for resolving complex liability claims.<br/><br/>As a Claims and Risk Lead, you will independently manage high complexity claims, assess liability, and negotiate settlements. This role involves analyzing various legal documents and providing departments with key insights on risk exposure and mitigation. Your collaboration with legal counsel and subject matter experts will streamline the claims resolution process.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee medium to high complexity liability claims
• Interpret legislation and support claims decision-making
• Advise on liability exposure and risk trends
• Engage with legal and insurance teams for claims resolution
• Prepare reports and assist in litigation support<br/><br/>Requirements:
• University degree in a relevant field
• At least 5 years of claims management experience
• Chartered Insurance Professional or similar designation
• Advanced knowledge in insurance and claims adjudication
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills<br/><br/>Utilize your expertise in claims management to protect the Citys interests.
