Reporting to the Director, Finance Major Projects, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing project finance, contract compliance, and financial reporting support for major projects, while also takes direction from the Corporate Controller supporting corporate accounting activities and process documentation and improvement during the ERP transition.<br/><br/>Key Accountabilities
Project Finance & Contract Compliance (Major Projects)<br/><br/>Performs risk‑based reviews of monthly contractor invoices to assess compliance with contractual payment terms and project agreements.<br/><br/>Develops and maintains procedures, templates, checklists, working papers, and documentation standards to support consistent contract compliance reviews.<br/><br/>Prepares clear, concise monthly reports that summarize compliance findings, trends, and recommended corrective actions for Finance and Commercial leadership.<br/><br/>Communicates findings to project and commercial stakeholders and supports resolution of identified issues.<br/><br/>Provides financial analysis to support project budgeting, forecasting, contract management, and performance reporting.<br/><br/>Identifies opportunities to refine and enhance existing internal controls and payment processes within the major project environment, and recommends practical improvements.<br/><br/>Supports other project finance and contract compliance activities as required over the life of the project.<br/><br/>Corporate Finance & ERP Implementation Support<br/><br/>Performs day-to-day corporate accounting activities, such as preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and support for month‑end close, to help maintain continuity and accuracy of financial operations during the ERP transition.<br/><br/>Supports the ERP implementation by participating in finance‑focused testing activities, executing defined test scenarios, and reviewing results to help confirm that key financial workflows and reports function as intended.<br/><br/>Identifies and documents issues encountered during testing and provides user‑focused feedback on process and reporting changes.<br/><br/>Contribute to process improvements and documentation related to new system workflows<br/><br/>Qualifications<br/><br/>CPA designation (Canada) in good standing with a minimum of 2+ years of post-designation experience<br/><br/>Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities with tight deadlines<br/><br/>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically in Microsoft Excel with experience in generating professional‑level analysis for users with varying degrees of financial acumen<br/><br/>Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in audit, contract compliance, project finance, ERP implementations and/or working with Oracle Fusion ERP<br/><br/>Additional Requirement<br/><br/>You must be legally authorized to work in Canada.<br/><br/>An offer of employment is conditional upon the completion of an acceptable current criminal record check.<br/><br/>#J-18808-Ljbffr
