Become a pivotal leader in Saugeen Shores as the Deputy Fire Chief, overseeing emergency operations and firefighter training. This engaging role ensures public safety and operational efficiency within the community.<br/><br/>In this senior role, you will support the Fire Chief while managing Fire Prevention, Operations, and Training branches. This includes compliance oversight and strategic planning for fire services. Your experience in emergency management and community engagement will be vital in this role.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities:
• Direct firefighting operations during emergencies
• Ensure training compliance with safety regulations
• Supervise firefighting equipment and apparatus maintenance
• Assist in developing community emergency plans
• Prepare reports to Council and collaborate with staff<br/><br/>Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in relevant field
• Five years’ experience in fire services at officer level
• NFPA certifications and CEMC training required
• Strong communication and strategic planning skills
• Valid drivers license with acceptable record<br/><br/>Lead fire safety training and emergency response initiatives to protect and serve the vibrant community of Saugeen Shores.
