Calian / Deloitte is a third‑party service provider contracted by the Canadian Armed Forces Recruiting Group (CFRG) to provide information and candidate sourcing support for CAF career opportunities and entry programs.
As an external contractor for the CAF, we are actively looking for Armour Soldier
OVERVIEW
As a member of the military, Armour Soldiers operate and maintain armoured fighting vehicles, their weapon systems and their communication equipment. Armour Soldiers are members of the Combat Arms team, which also includes Infantry, Artillery and Combat Engineering regiments.
Armour Soldiers begin their career with one of two types of Armoured Fighting Vehicle’s (AFV’s): the tank or the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV 6).
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of a crew trained to be a driver, operator or gunner, an Armour Soldier has the following duties.
- Drive and maintain the AFV.
- Fire the AFV’s main gun.
- Load the AFV’s main gun and machineguns.
- Operate surveillance equipment.
- Maintain the communications equipment.
- Gather and relay information about the enemy and the terrain.
- Destroy enemy targets with direct fire.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
No previous work experience or career related skills are required. CAF recruiters can help you decide if your personal interests and attributes match the criteria for this occupation.
The minimum required education to apply for this occupation is the completion of the provincial requirements for Grade 10 or Secondary 4 in Quebec.
