Required Qualifications:

  • Asset Accounting
  • Cost Center Accounting
  • Internal Orders
  • Product Costing
  • COPA
  • Financial Close and Reporting
  • 4+ years of SAP Project Management or Delivery Management experience.
  • Prior experience leading SAP Finance teams or functional workstreams.
  • Experience reviewing solution designs and mentoring SAP consultants.
  • Strong understanding of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing consulting teams and direct reports.
  • Experience working in a consulting or professional services organization.
  • SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation experience.
  • PMP, SAP Activate, or related certifications.
  • Experience across manufacturing, life sciences, consumer products, or distribution industries.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager with a strong SAP Finance background to lead project delivery and provide leadership for our SAP Finance consulting team.

The ideal candidate will have spent the majority of their career as a hands-on SAP FI/CO consultant before progressing into project management and people leadership roles. While projects may span multiple SAP domains, this individual will serve as a senior leader within the SAP Finance practice, providing functional oversight, mentoring consultants, supporting solution design reviews, and ensuring successful project execution.

This role requires a balance of SAP Finance functional expertise, project delivery leadership, stakeholder management, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery

  • Manage SAP projects, enhancements, rollouts, assessments, and support initiatives across various SAP functional areas.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, resource allocations, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Technical, Integration, and Data resources.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet client expectations.

SAP Finance Leadership:

  • Act as a senior functional leader for the SAP Finance pillar.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to SAP FI/CO consultants on solution design and best practices.
  • Review functional specifications, design documents, estimates, and proposed solutions.
  • Support consultants in resolving complex business and system issues.
  • Participate in solution discussions for Finance-related opportunities and client engagements.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across SAP Finance project deliverables.

Team Leadership & People Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop SAP Finance consultants.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and career development activities.
  • Help build delivery capabilities and strengthen SAP Finance competencies across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Client Engagement:

  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders across Finance and IT organizations.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirements discussions, and solution reviews.
  • Provide delivery leadership and executive-level communication throughout project lifecycles.
