Our client is looking for a VP, Associate Creative Director, Copy to help lead creative excellence across a portfolio of US pharmaceutical brands. This individual will be responsible for developing compelling, insight-driven messaging and integrated creative campaigns that engage healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned healthcare copy leader with deep pharmaceutical experience, exceptional conceptual skills, and a proven ability to inspire teams while translating complex scientific information into clear, meaningful, and impactful communications. This role requires close collaboration with Creative, Strategy, Medical, Account, and Client partners to deliver work that is both creatively outstanding and compliant within the pharmaceutical environment.

This role is remote. It will be ongoing, fulltime hours per week.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of agency experience, with significant pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare advertising experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading copy development for pharmaceutical brands.
  • Experience managing and mentoring creative teams.
  • Strong client-facing presentation experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and integrated campaign development skills.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare and pharmaceutical communications.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations, OPDP guidance, and medical-legal-regulatory (MLR) review processes.
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific data clearly and persuasively.
  • Outstanding presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting major pharmaceutical launches and lifecycle brands.
  • Therapeutic area expertise in oncology, immunology, rare disease, neuroscience, cardiovascular, or specialty medicine.
  • Experience developing both HCP and patient-focused communications.
  • Familiarity with omnichannel engagement strategies and digital-first marketing approaches.
  • Experience participating in new business pitches and agency growth initiatives.
