An established leader in the energy sector is seeking a Contracts Advisor to join its Supply Chain team on a 12-month contract. This role is ideal for a procurement and contracts professional who enjoys negotiating complex agreements, driving cost savings initiatives, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver strategic sourcing solutions.
This position will support a variety of categories including equipment & materials, chemicals, transportation, and logistics while contributing to category management strategies and supplier performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop sourcing and category strategies aligned with operational objectives.
- Lead sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and contract award activities for complex service and material agreements.
- Identify and deliver cost reduction and value optimization opportunities through market analysis, supplier engagement, and spend analytics.
- Develop and implement negotiation strategies that balance commercial value, risk mitigation, and operational requirements.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including contract planning, strategy development, contract formation, approvals, and claims/warranty management.
- Analyze supplier and market data to support sourcing decisions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- Approximately 3-7 years of procurement, supply chain, contracts, or commercial experience.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with cost optimization, cost modeling, total cost of ownership analysis, and commercial strategy development.
- Experience using procurement and sourcing tools such as SAP, Ariba, or similar platforms is considered an asset.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Work Arrangement: Fully onsite
