What They’re Looking For
- Member of the Law Society of British Columbia (or eligible for membership without articling)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Family Law and Litigation
- Established book of business
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client relationship skills
- Experience handling complex family law, civil litigation, commercial litigation, or estate litigation matters
- Ability to mentor junior lawyers and contribute to firm growth
Key Responsibilities
- Manage family law and litigation files from intake through resolution
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations
- Draft pleadings, legal documents, briefs, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
- Advise clients on family law and litigation matters
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Mentor and support junior lawyers
- Participate in business development, networking, and community engagement
- Develop and maintain a sustainable book of business
