Description
Drive innovative reactor physics analysis as an Intermediate Reactor Physicist in the Fuel and Physics department at AtkinsRéalis. Contribute to the design of new nuclear power plants and improve existing CANDU facilities.<br/><br/>In this role, you will support senior staff while using advanced reactor physics codes like WIMS, DRAGON, RFSP, and MCNP. Your expertise will guide complex calculations, such as kinetics and Monte Carlo, ensuring meticulous documentation of results and adherence to project deadlines.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and perform finite-reactor-core calculations
• Prepare inputs and run reactor physics computer codes
• Develop and modify FORTRAN codes for specific applications
• Document analyses in reports and technical notes
• Propose methodologies for reactor physics tasks<br/><br/>Requirements:
• Masters degree in Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience with CANDU reactor physics
• Proficiency in MCNP and reactor physics codes
• Strong computer programming skills in FORTRAN and C++
