Okta secures AI by building trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to adopt this new era safely. This hybrid role requires frequent office presence (three days per week). We are looking for builders who operate with speed, urgency, and excellence to shape the future of identity.
Team<br/><br/>The Auth0Lab team is a small group of engineers focused on creating new Auth0 products and features. We take ideas from zero to production, incubate solutions like Auth0 FGA, and develop tools to help builders ship production‑grade GenAI apps and agents.
Responsibilities<br/><br/>Implement proof‑of‑concepts and demos of new products, features, or standard implementations.
Lead industry‑wide efforts and protocols (e.g., MCP, A2A) around identity, including recommendations, samples, and SDKs.
Write samples and SDKs to simplify the use of Auth0 capabilities.
Research market adjacencies to inform company strategy, M&A decisions, and future investment ideas.
Qualifications<br/><br/>Strong ability to learn quickly and solve complex problems.
Deep understanding of computer systems and the ability to balance simplicity and flexibility.
Talent for understanding customer needs and iterating based on feedback, industry trends, and technology.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice to have: design and architecture of large‑scale distributed systems.
Understanding of cloud cost implications.
10+ years of software development experience.
4+ years of identity experience, including cloud services.
3+ years in developer tooling or a strong passion for it.
Salary & Benefits<br/><br/>Annual base salary range for Canada: $216,000 — $297,000 CAD (adjusted for skills and experience).
Equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits including health, dental, vision insurance.
