What you will do
Project Controls Implementation<br/><br/>Implement and maintain project controls processes, systems, and procedures in compliance with corporate standards<br/><br/>Ensure alignment with project scope, contractual requirements, milestones, and priorities<br/><br/>Develop and maintain project controls plans, procedures, and governance processes<br/><br/>Partner with Finance and project teams to establish and manage the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), cost coding, and reporting structure<br/><br/>Cost & Schedule Management<br/><br/>Lead cost and schedule planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and change management activities<br/><br/>Monitor project performance against approved baselines, analyze variances and trends, and recommend corrective actions<br/><br/>Track expenditures, commitments, staffing costs, and accruals across Capital, Expense, and OPEX accounts<br/><br/>Manage purchase orders, contracts, and subcontracts to ensure accurate cost control and forecasting<br/><br/>Administer and oversee the project change management process, including impact assessment and communication<br/><br/>Contractor Management & Oversight<br/><br/>Serve as the project controls interface with EPC contractors, ensuring compliance with project objectives and contractual requirements<br/><br/>Review and validate contractor estimates, schedules, forecasts, progress reports, and change requests<br/><br/>Monitor contractor performance, identify risks and issues, and support development of recovery and mitigation plans<br/><br/>Review bid evaluations, contract awards, and proposed contract changes<br/><br/>Reporting & Stakeholder Communication<br/><br/>Prepare and present monthly project controls reports covering cost, schedule, progress, forecasts, and key risks<br/><br/>Communicate project performance and forecasts to leadership, affiliates, and project stakeholders<br/><br/>Support project funding decisions, stage‑gate reviews, and project closeout activities<br/><br/>Identify opportunities to improve capital efficiency and project value<br/><br/>Assess project risks and opportunities, developing strategies to minimize cost and schedule impacts<br/><br/>Support financial closeout, final reporting, and lessons learned activities<br/><br/>About You
Required Skills and Qualifications<br/><br/>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management from a recognized university<br/><br/>Minimum 5‑10 years of overall capital Project Management experience<br/><br/>Demonstrated leadership skills<br/><br/>Good command of English both written and spoken<br/><br/>Strong MS Excel and presentation skills.<br/><br/>Strong influencing without authority, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills<br/><br/>Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely convey recommendations to management / leadership<br/><br/>Willingness and flexibility to travel as per business needs<br/><br/>Preferred Qualifications / Experience<br/><br/>Direct project controls experience focused on cost control, estimating, planning, and schedule control<br/><br/>Experience in working on large‑scale earthworks projects in Brownfield oil and gas environment<br/><br/>Experience in working on large Upstream projects and in Brownfield oil and gas environment<br/><br/>Experience using analytical tools such as EcoSys, Power BI, and Power Query or equivalent<br/><br/>Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests<br/><br/>Experience working in client role on oil and gas projects<br/><br/>We offer you<br/><br/>Training and mentorship<br/><br/>Relocation assistance as required<br/><br/>Gym facility, café and marketplace located on campus<br/><br/>Employee resource groups (ERG’s) – opportunity to participate in volunteer groups that support furthering the company’s inclusion objectives<br/><br/>Please note benefits may be changed, suspended or terminated from time to time without notice, subject to applicable law.<br/><br/>Imperial is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
