Job Title: D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant

Location: Remote (Canada) | Up to 30% Travel

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Strong Potential for Extension up to 12 Months)

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Functional Consultant to support ongoing implementation and optimization initiatives. This is a fully remote opportunity based in Canada with up to 30% travel to client sites as needed.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned functional consultant with strong business process expertise who can gather requirements, configure D365 F&O, and partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable ERP solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Lead discovery sessions and business process workshops across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related business areas.
  • Configure and optimize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to align with business objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
  • Support full lifecycle implementations, enhancements, and post-go-live optimization efforts.
  • Develop functional design documentation, process maps, and user stories.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue resolution, and production deployments.
  • Provide end-user training and create functional documentation.
  • Partner with developers, architects, and project managers to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Recommend best practices and drive continuous process improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant.
  • Experience delivering multiple end-to-end D365 F&O implementations.
  • Strong functional knowledge in one or more of the following:
  • Finance
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Procurement & Sourcing
  • Inventory Management
  • Manufacturing
  • Warehouse Management
  • Excellent business process analysis and requirements gathering skills.
  • Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience supporting testing, training, and post-go-live support.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% throughout Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations certifications.
  • Previous consulting experience.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Agile project delivery.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power
