Title: Software Safety Engineer
Location: Brampton
Duration: 1 year
Security Clearances: Eligible for Reliability clearance & Controlled Goods Program.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software safety experience in a safety-critical development environment, preferably in aerospace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Software, Computer, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- Experience performing safety/hazard assessments and analyses on projects involving complex electromechanical systems with a significant software component.
- Experience performing software criticality analysis
- Experience developing product software safety requirements to meet customer and mission requirements
- Experience performing trade-off studies to ensure the requirements are the right requirements
- Experience working with design, systems engineering and software groups to ensure that safety-related inputs are incorporated into the design.
- Experience analyzing safety-critical software documentation and source code for safety
- Experience analyzing reused software for safety
- Experience defending safety decisions to internal and external customers
- Experience contributing to System Safety Analysis Reports
- Experience presenting safety designs at safety review panels
