As a Vice President in Investment Banking – Diversified Industries, you will develop strong relationships with corporates and financial institution clients and work across different product lines. You will work on deals and transactions across the spectrum of our banking products, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, loans, equity capital, and debt capital raises.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support equity and debt capital raises and sell‑side and buy‑side M&A processes for both corporates and financial sponsors.
  • Lead transactions including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, other equity capital markets activity, high yield debt issuance, and other debt issuance.
  • Analyze detailed corporate and financial information and conduct detailed due diligence.
  • Perform financial modeling and analysis related to the valuation of companies including discounted cash flow, transaction comparables, public market comparables, leveraged buyout analysis, and public market overviews.
  • Create pitch books and ideas to present to the clients on potential acquisitions, divestitures, and capital structure alternatives.
  • Train and mentor analysts and associates.
  • Lead day‑to‑day client dialogue, idea generation, and transaction execution.
  • Build relationships with key decision‑makers at companies and prospect new clients not covered by the investment bank to expand the coverage universe.
  • Requires domestic and international travel.

Required Qualifications, Skills, And Capabilities

  • Minimum of three full years of investment banking industry coverage experience post‑MBA or minimum of five full years of investment banking industry coverage experience post‑undergraduate.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity.
  • Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions.
  • Adaptability, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team.
  • Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner.
  • Excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today’s environment.
  • Sell‑side and buy‑side merger and acquisition processes.
  • Equity and debt capital raises.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required.
