Description

We are partnering with a organization to appoint a Contract Project Manager to support a key client within the financial services sector. This is a 6 to 12 month contract position focused on delivering office and retail fit out projects within a banking environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects end to end, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of construction projects including planning, design coordination, procurement, and execution
  • Oversee office and retail fit out projects across multiple locations
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors
  • Act as the main point of contact for client stakeholders
  • Build strong working relationships and provide regular project updates
  • Manage expectations and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Track project budgets, forecasts, and overall financial performance
  • Review and approve project costs, change orders, and invoices
  • Ensure cost control and value optimization throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting standards

Candidate profile:

  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects, specifically office and retail fit outs
  • Experience working within financial services or banking environments is preferred
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Commercially astute with strong attention to detail
