*Job Summary*
Ocean Track is a new company to Nanaimo BC. We are a Truck Pro dealer and we specialise in heavy equipment from on-road, off-road, marine and we are a CVSE-designated inspection facility. The successful candidate will work safely and efficiently, help with customer service, billing, maintain strong housekeeping standards, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot repairs across a mixed vehicle fleet.
Job Responsibilities:
– Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines
– Test and repair hydraulic systems (training can be provided if needed)
– Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems
– Diagnose and repair air systems
– Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and small equipment
– Fabricate and weld parts when required
– Order parts and maintain inventory
– Record and maintain accurate work orders and documentation
– Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
– CVI inspections
Qualifications & Experience:
– Authorized CVI inspector
– Minimum 5 years of experience as a HDET
– Fleet maintenance experience is an asset
– Must supply own tools
– Class 5 Driver’s Licence required (Class 1 or 3 with air brakes is an asset)

Schedule:
– 8-hour or 10- hour shifts
– Monday to Friday or 4 day on 3 days off
– Overtime as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50.00-$57.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week

Education:
* AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
* Mechanic: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Driving Licence (required)
