Description

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional programs that bridge enterprise applications and oil and gas operations. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of IT/digital transformation and upstream, midstream, or downstream operations, requiring a leader who can translate operational needs into technology solutions and drive multi-workstream programs from business case through go-live and adoption. The ideal candidate brings deep program management discipline, hands-on experience with enterprise applications (ERP, EAM, SCADA-adjacent systems, or similar), and firsthand knowledge of oil and gas business processes and field realities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large, multi-workstream programs spanning enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, EAM, production/operations systems) and oil and gas business functions.

• Partner with operations, engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to define program scope, objectives, success criteria, and governance structures.

• Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans across multiple concurrent projects.

• Manage program risk, issues, dependencies, and change control; escalate and resolve blockers proactively.

• Act as the primary liaison between technical application teams and field/operations stakeholders, ensuring solutions align with real-world operational workflows.

• Oversee vendor and systems integrator relationships, including contract deliverables, SOWs, and performance against milestones.

• Drive organizational readiness, training, and change management to support successful adoption of new applications and processes.

• Report program status, risks, and financials to executive sponsors and steering committees; recommend course corrections as needed.

• Ensure programs comply with relevant safety, regulatory, environmental, and data governance requirements applicable to oil and gas operations.

• Mentor project managers and cross-functional leads; contribute to maturing PM/PMO standards, tools, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 8+ years of program/project management experience, including at least 3+ years in the oil and gas industry (upstream, midstream, or downstream).

• Demonstrated experience managing enterprise application programs (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Maximo, or similar ERP/EAM platforms).

• Strong understanding of oil and gas business processes, terminology, and field operations.

• Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar program budgets and large, cross-functional teams.

• Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and facilitation skills.

• Skilled in program governance frameworks, risk management, and change management methodologies.

• Proficiency with PM tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent, plus PPM/reporting tools.

• Ability to travel to field/site locations as needed and work effectively in a hybrid environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PgMP, or PMI-ACP certification.

• MBA or advanced degree in a related field.

• Experience with SCADA, production data systems, or field digitalization initiatives.

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to oil and gas (e.g., environmental, safety, and reporting requirements).

• Experience leading Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery in a regulated industrial environment.

What We Offer

• Competitive salary and performance-based bonus.

• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits.

• Hybrid work flexibility with occasional field/site travel.

• Opportunities for professional development and industry certification support.
